Based on the history, there was a kingdom in which some parts of Indonesia and Malaysia are one, and called as the Nusantara, because of that Indonesian and Malaysia have the same tribes.  Although Indonesia and Malaysia are different state, but both of these countries have the same culture, such as dance, like Tor- Tor dance originating from Sumatra (an island in Indonesia). The other example of the similarity between these countries is the language. Basically, Melayu Malaysia language is based on the Riau (part of Indonesia) Malay dialects. Despite having the same basic language, there are several different vocabularies, for example we can say “well” with “elok” in Malaysia and with the same word in Indonesia “elok” means beautiful, the same word with not too different meaning. We can say “money” with “uang” in Indonesia and “wang” in Malaysia, the same meaning and pronunciation but different word. Due to the similar culture, many rumours said that Malaysia steal Indonesian culture, however, the facts above can answer this gossip.
